Dr. Paulisick began her journey into dentistry at the University of Maryland, receiving a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology/Physiology and a citation in the College Park Scholars Advocates for Children Program. She then attended the University of Maryland Dental School, where she was the national student representative of the American Association of Women Dentists.  Also an Albert Schweitzer fellow, Dr. Paulisick developed health-based education programs for homeless women and children in Baltimore.  She won the Dean's Award for Outstanding Community Service and was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society.  Additionally, she completed an Oral Surgery Clerkship while in dental school. She was the recipient of the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award, the Quintessence Award for clinical achievement in Periodontics, and was a featured student in the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools.

After graduating, Dr. Paulisick completed a general practice residency at the Baltimore VAMC, where she served as chief resident. She became a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry; an honor bestowed on less than 6% of general dentists. Additionally, Dr. Paulisick served on the Align Technology (Invisalign) Valued Provider Board, has been an Invisalign Gold Plus Provider, and remains a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners. She has specialty training with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics for Juvederm and Botox cosmetic and therapeutic treatments.

During her free time, Dr. Paulisick loves to be active, going to the beach and enjoying the beautiful lifestyle Charleston provides. A Pittsburgh native, you can find her cheering on her Steelers! She is the proud mom of two beautiful children and has been honored as "Lowcountry Mom of the Month.” It’s not uncommon to see her cheering on the sidelines of her kids’ sporting events!

Your First Visit

What Patients Can Expect

At your first appointment, we’ll build in extra time so we can get to know you and so you can familiarize yourself with our practice. We are a paperless office, with all patient forms available online. Our front desk team can help support with insurance coverage or paying your bill. We will give you a tour of our office before you’re brought back for an evaluation of your dental needs.

We take thorough records including photos, radiographs, and a digital dental health scan.  This dental health scan helps track changes in your gums and teeth over time with our iTero scanner!

Dr. Paulisick will then perform a thorough exam and can discuss your oral health and additional treatments as needed. From there, we can set up future appointments so you can maintain a healthy, happy smile. We welcome your feedback and any questions you have throughout your appointment. The Longboard Dental team is always thrilled to get to know new patients!
